The 2016 Jubilee Games was an eight-day event held between 22 – 29 July in Dubai, United Arab Emirates that brought athletes from around the world together to celebrate excellence in competitive sport. GroupJKC was awarded the mandate to be the official brand/event agency for the games.

Merging the brand

The primary objective of the identity was first to merge the corporate brand (5 crescents) and the host city (Dubai) to create the 2016 games identity. The host city being located in the United Arab Emirates, had to convey its culture while at the same time signifying that this was the 2016 Jubilee game event.

Sport Icons

With 15 sporting disciplines, the individual icons were inspired by the crescents of the logo. These icons where represented throughout the venues and at the specific sporting location as way finding visuals and graphics to create excitement for the athletes and spectators alike.

Golden Jubilee Torch

As part of the communications and event management mandate, GroupJKC was required to  develop print campaigns to reach the global audience. 8-day digital marketing campaigns to be displayed and the Dubai Sports World venue. Apply the brand to merchandising products sold during the event and the uniforms for athletes from 16 countries.

Digital Marketing
